St. Michael & All Angels Church

Celebrating, proclaiming & demonstrating God’s love as shown in Jesus

St. Michael's has a number of lively childrens and youth groups with many children taking part both on Sundays and during the week.

We have a full time Youth Worker who organises activities within the church for children aged 11 upwards and also spends time in local schools, leading assemblies and organising activities and clubs.

The children regularly take part in services, occasionally leading the service or performing drama, readings, leading prayers. Youth services are also organised and led by the older children and attended by other local churches and organisations.

Further information about all the groups and activities is shown below:

Holiday club ........

This is an action packed week following a Christian theme but in a really fun way. It is for all children of Primary School Age and runs for one week during the School Summer Holiday in August and consists of four mornings, finishing with a BBQ on Friday evening.

We offer 70 places and most years all places are fully filled so the hall is a hive of activity and noise! During the week the children participate in music, drama, story-telling (sometimes with a video!), keep-fit, drawing, painting, all sorts of different craft activities, games, jokes, and a whole lot more.

It is a great social time and many friendships are made.

As part of the week we have a family Bar-B-Q with lots of food and Bouncy Castles for the children. Last holiday club there were over 100 people enjoying the event.
The next Holiday Club will be in August 2012.
