A total of £11,100 was raised at the Model Railway Exhibition this year. This is the most ever raised at the show and special  thanks go to all involved, to those who attended, made cakes, catered, stewarded, manned stands, and to those who helped set up and clear up.
All the money raised will be shared between
the charities Demelza House Children’s Hospice, The Railway Children, Cherished Memories & St Michael’s Youth Worker Fund.

 Chemba Church

We sent £1800 to our link church in Chemba, Kondoa to enable them to  render the outside walls of the church. Here is a photo of the (almost) completed rendering which will protect the church from the weather.

Many thanks to all who helped in any way
 with the exhibition, from providing
stamps, buying raffle tickets, to catering
and stewarding: it was a highly successful
 time, raising £8,500 for children's
charities. Thank you for helping to make it
 such a success.

 Notice Board

The new Church Notice Board has now been installed at the church entrance by the Lych Gate.

Thanks go to Richard Kinderman, Keith Simons and Clive Winton who carried out the work and to David Viggers who donated the board in memory of his wife Dr. Janette Viggers.

The Craft Group at St. Michaels have been busy knitting and recently sent 2 blankets to Uganda with the charity High Hopes for Children. The picture shows the excited new owners of the blankets!
