 Retirement of Rev. Richard Arding

Richard will be retiring on 25th July 2018 but on Sunday 15th July there will be a farewell event held in the Church from 1pm to 6pm. It will take the form of a relaxed informal drop-in, with food and drink, come and go when you want. Everyone is invited including partners and children. Richard's last Sunday will be 22nd July when he will preach at all services. We look forward to seeing you on the 15th and 22nd.

I am glad that you have chosen to look at St Michael and All Angels church and hope that you will visit us soon. The church has been in existence in Wilmington since Saxon times but I believe that the message of Jesus Christ is as relevant today as it ever was.

St. Michael's is a lively church with a vision to celebrate, proclaim and demonstrate God's love as shown in Jesus Christ. There are many aspects to our life at St Michael's but our Sunday gatherings are at the heart of all we do.
Details of our Sunday services, and activities for children and young people can also be found on this site. Bible teaching is central to our meeting together because we believe the Bible to be God's means of building up and equipping His Church.

As well as meeting on Sundays, many of our members also get together during the
week in House Groups for friendship, bible study and mutual support.

A church exists for the benefit of it's non members. We see ourselves as being here for
the local community of Wilmington and are very much part of it.

For all our weaknesses - which are many - our conviction is that the local church is the
hope of the world because Jesus Christ is at it's centre.
