Garden of Remembrance

The Garden of Remembrance is there to provide a lasting place to remember loved ones.

Ashes of the deceased may be buried in the garden and a plaque placed on the wall.

In certain circumstances, a plaque may be placed on the wall even if the ashes are not in this specific garden.

As with burials, we require a evidence of a link with the church or parish to be able to consider use of the Garden.  This may be because someone was part of the church family or has lived in Wilmington or was married there or another valid link.

Fees for the services are applicable and available from the 'funerals' part of the website or the church office.

Permission is needed for the placing of the plaque or vase, and the wording on it.  The form "CR1" needs to be filled out (it's used for headstones, plaques and vases).  This is available, along with other details on what is permitted, here
